Now that tomatoes are in season, run don’t walk to your farmer’s market and get em while they’re hot
When I went, I got some gorgeous heirloom tomatoes and basil, so of course I made pesto to serve with the tomatoes. The burrata was the cherry on top
Ingredients:
1 large heirloom tomato
4oz ball of burrata
2 tbsp pesto
Olive oil
Salt & pepper
Directions:
Slice the heirloom tomatoes and cut the slices into about 2 inch pieces. Lay the tomato pieces on a plate then top with the burrata. Slice open the burrata and drizzle with pesto and olive oil and season all over with salt & pepper
Serve as a salad or with toasty bread
