Chocolate Hazelnut Butter (Healthier Nutella)

This homemade version of Nutella couldn't be easier to make with just a few simple ingredients that you probably already have on hand. If you don't have hazelnuts (or for some reason don't like them) you can sub for another nut like cashews or almonds.

Store it in a jar in the fridge and add it to yogurt bowls, smoothies, toast or just eat it with a spoon like I usually do

Ingredients

2 cups roasted hazelnuts

3 tbsp cacao powder

1 tbsp honey (or more or less to taste)

1/4 tsp himalayan salt

1 tbsp olive oil (to thin)

Directions

Add the hazelnuts to a high speed blender or food processor and blend until a creamy paste forms. Add the cacao powder, honey and salt and continue to blend until smooth and fully incorporated

Add a bit of olive oil at a time until you reach a desired consistency. If it's perfect without it, you don't need it - mine was just a bit too thick without a little extra liquid

Transfer to a jar and store in the fridge
